About The Course
Assessment is by an externally set theoretical knowledge test, together with unit tests and continually assessed coursework. Students also meet regularly with tutors to help plan studies and to discuss progress.
This can lead to further study at Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery or an apprenticeship if employment is gained. Construction workers can work in the UK or abroad, in a range of industries, or even set up their own business. Experienced Carpenters and Joiners can expect to earn up to £42k a year.
Opportunities also exist of learners moving into the new developing area of sustainability such as working on prefabricated units.
