About The Course

This course is designed for 16-25 year old learners who have an EHCP or school leavers who require a high level of support on a Pathway to Employment. This course supports the learner’s development of key skills and attitudes valued by employers. This qualification allows you to gain a grounding in a wide range of topics/skills to prepare you for the word of work.

Current EHCP. Entry level 2 qualification or Initial Assessment results at Entry Level 2.

 

You will be assessed through a variety of methods based on course requirements and individual needs. For example:

  • Observations
  • Portfolios and workbooks
  • Practical Activities
  • Questioning
  • Peer feedback

Throughout the course, you will be gathering evidence/information in each unit. There are different methods that evidence can be gathered to meet individual needs.

School Leavers

If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Many of our students are eligible for financial support when studying at college – please contact us for more information.

This course provides the skills needed to improve your employability skills to progress into employment.

WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?
We recommend you apply at least three months before the programme starts to guarantee your place. The application form will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK FROM YOU?
We’ll acknowledge receipt of your application by email within 48 hours, if it’s received during normal working hours (Mon-Fri – 09:00-18:00 GMT). We will review and respond to your application within two working days. We do this in order of receipt and acceptance is not automatic.

CAN I RESERVE A PLACE?

WHAT ARE YOUR LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS?
The programme is taught in English, so a good working knowledge of the language is essential. If English is not your first language, we may ask you for evidence of your proficiency.
