Nail Technology – Level 2 Diploma (Full Time)

About The Course

This nail technology course covers an introduction to the nail care and enhancement section of the beauty therapy sector, giving you basic skills in areas such as manicures, pedicures, and nail art. Nail technology is a growing area in the UK, with the average British woman spending £450 on their nails each year, and visiting a nail salon at least twice a month.

  • Eye treatments, make-up & tanning opportunities
  • Creating an image

You will need:

  • Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above or a relevant Level 1 qualification

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence, collected from written assessments, presentations, witness statements and practice observation.

School Leavers

If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Adults

Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. To prepare learners for employment as a junior nail technician, learners may choose to develop their skills further by undertaking qualifications at Level 3, these may include:

– Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Nail Services
– Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology
– 3 Diploma in Nail Technology Studies

 

WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?
We recommend you apply at least three months before the programme starts to guarantee your place. The application form will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK FROM YOU?
We’ll acknowledge receipt of your application by email within 48 hours, if it’s received during normal working hours (Mon-Fri – 09:00-18:00 GMT). We will review and respond to your application within two working days. We do this in order of receipt and acceptance is not automatic.

CAN I RESERVE A PLACE?

WHAT ARE YOUR LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS?
The programme is taught in English, so a good working knowledge of the language is essential. If English is not your first language, we may ask you for evidence of your proficiency.
