Project Management – Level 4 Apprenticeship

About The Course

The Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management will provide a progression route for you if you are wishing to enter the project management profession or further your career in other disciplines using project management skills.

The Level 4 apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to be part of a cohort of learners on the same programme. The programme combines both theory and practice with the opportunity to learn new skills and then apply them. You will learn with recognised and expert project management consultants with real world project delivery experience.

The Apprenticeship cover managing project work and teams for businesses and other organisations. Projects can be defined and delivered within different contexts, across diverse industry sectors. They can be large or small.Every project needs to be managed to ensure its success, An associate project manager knows what needs to be achieved, how it will be achieved, how long it will take and how much it will cost, and works with the project team to achieve the required outcomes.

You will need:

  • To be aged 16 or older
  • To be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week with 20% of your normal working hours set aside for you to complete your training and study
  • 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English and Maths or a relevant Level 2 qualification and Functional Skills at Level 2 in English and Maths

All applicants must have an interview and assessment in English and Maths to confirm that the apprenticeship is suitable for them.

Employers may also set additional entry requirements, as a prerequisite to working with them

Apprenticeships are assessed by classroom study coursework and assessments along with on-the-job practicals.

Upon commencement, apprentices may become student members of the Association for Project Management (APM)as the first step of professional membership. Apprentices will be eligible for progression to associate membership upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. Full membership can be attained through further experience and professional development.

Typical job roles in this apprenticeship include; Assistant Project Manager, Junior Project Manager and Project Team Leader.

WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?
We recommend you apply at least three months before the programme starts to guarantee your place. The application form will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK FROM YOU?
We’ll acknowledge receipt of your application by email within 48 hours, if it’s received during normal working hours (Mon-Fri – 09:00-18:00 GMT). We will review and respond to your application within two working days. We do this in order of receipt and acceptance is not automatic.

CAN I RESERVE A PLACE?

WHAT ARE YOUR LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS?
The programme is taught in English, so a good working knowledge of the language is essential. If English is not your first language, we may ask you for evidence of your proficiency.
