About The Course

Podcasting is Netflix for radio and audio. In in this course, you will learn how to produce a podcast and participate in a radio show. You will learn how to plan, produce and publicise your podcast and radio production. You will gain all the introductory skills to take forward and start your own podcast series.

You will learn the difference between podcasting and radio productions

  • Developing and structuring your podcasting ideas
  • Structuring a radio production
  • Targeting your audience
  • Recording and editing a podcast using Adobe Audition
  • Publicising your podcast
  • Participate in a radio show
  • Maintaining your podcast series and radio programme.
Please be prepared to provide your residency documents such as a passport, EU citizen ID card, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK – your visa, your biometric card that covers the duration of your course or any relevant home office documents to support your residency should all be uploaded. If you’re an EUEEA or Swiss citizen we will need to see evidence of ‘Pre-Settled’ or ‘Settled-status’ documents. Also for funding purposes we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC), Housing benefits etc. please bring evidence of this).

If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Upon successful completion of the course you can progress into further study in this area.

WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?
We recommend you apply at least three months before the programme starts to guarantee your place. The application form will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK FROM YOU?
We’ll acknowledge receipt of your application by email within 48 hours, if it’s received during normal working hours (Mon-Fri – 09:00-18:00 GMT). We will review and respond to your application within two working days. We do this in order of receipt and acceptance is not automatic.

CAN I RESERVE A PLACE?

WHAT ARE YOUR LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS?
The programme is taught in English, so a good working knowledge of the language is essential. If English is not your first language, we may ask you for evidence of your proficiency.
