If you’re aged 19 or older and looking to improve your literacy skills, our English Functional Skills at Entry Level to Level 2 can help you progress your learning. Each level takes approximately 15 weeks to study, with classes for 3 hours each week.

We offer a range of English courses to help you develop the literacy skills you need for work and everyday life – even if you’ve been out of education for a while. We will ask you to complete an assessment to help us choose the right level of teaching for you. Functional Skills are widely recognised across all sectors of employment and can be a stepping stone to GCSE.

Enrolment and assessment can be completed online or at the college. Enrolment information will be sent after you book.
