ABOUT THE COURSE

Introduction to Radio Broadcasting. In this course you will learn how to present and participate in a radio show. You will learn how to plan, produce, and publicise your podcast and radio production. You will gain all the introductory skills to take forward and start your own radio production and podcast series

Difference between podcasting and radio productions Developing and structuring your podcasting ideas Structuring a radio production Targeting your audience Recording and editing a podcast using Adobe Audition Publicising your podcast Participate in a radio show Maintaining your podcast series and radio programme

You do not need to have any previous qualifications.All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Adults

Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. APPLICATION PROCESS

WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?
We recommend you apply at least three months before the programme starts to guarantee your place. The application form will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.

WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK FROM YOU?
We’ll acknowledge receipt of your application by email within 48 hours, if it’s received during normal working hours (Mon-Fri – 09:00-18:00 GMT). We will review and respond to your application within two working days. We do this in order of receipt and acceptance is not automatic.

CAN I RESERVE A PLACE?

WHAT ARE YOUR LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS?
The programme is taught in English, so a good working knowledge of the language is essential. If English is not your first language, we may ask you for evidence of your proficiency.
